We are all born with the ability to be intuitive. Have you observed a baby staring off in space, laughing at “nothing”? What about a toddler engaging in imagination by playing with “friends” you cannot see? At some point as a child, we shut down our intuition, but we can train ourselves to open our intuition.

Keys to opening intuition:

Engage your imagination. Your spiritual senses are essential – your ability to hear on the inner (clairaudience), see (clairvoyance) and feel (clairsentience). If you don’t sense anything, imagine what it would be like if you could feel, see or hear it. Your imagination is your intuition. Give yourself permission to explore your imagination, even as an adult.

Develop a meditation practice. Passive meditation is great for clearing your mind and connecting to your heart. Active meditation will engage your imagination. Both types of meditation are important! Learn more about the benefits of developing a meditation practice here.

Take an intuition development class.  Journeys of the Spirit is a great class that offers intuition development exercises for opening clairvoyance, clairsentience and clairaudience. This class will also teach you several Sanctuary Meditation techniques to enhance your intuitive skills.
